Wreck Me A Novel Nova Series Book 4 eBook Jessica Sorensen

Wreck Me. A truer title couldn't be found. This story is about being wrecked. I believe that each character (main ones) in this book have been wrecked in some way. The topics include: alcohol abuse, dug abuse, and domestic abuse. All of these evils will wreck a person and their loved ones. We first met Tristan in Quentin and Nova's books. Tristan has a horrid past that includes drug abuse. Avery has a past that includes alcohol abuse and domestic abuse. These two are both addicts trying to just take things day by day. This is not a hearts and roses love story. The book deals with raw subject matter. I have to say that I didn't like Tristan's parents in the other books, but man they (or should I say his mom) really took it to a new level in this book. The book takes us from the present to both of their separate pasts. We see how each of them became the addicts that they were. Dual point of view. No major cliffhanger, but you just know that there is more to some of the characters in the book including some issues that need resolving for Tristan and Avery and their families.

Wreck Me A Novel Nova Series Book 4 eBook Jessica Sorensen Reviews

Meet Avery, a girl who lives in The Subs with her drug addict mother and her younger brother Jax. Avery meets Conner & thinks he's the guy who is going to sweep her off her feet and get her out of The Subs and away from her awful mother. So she gets married, knocked up and finds out Conner isn't the saint she thinks he is. He broke her, he ruined her, he wrecked her. Can she be unbroken?

Enter Tristan! Tristan is a guy who has been through a lot. His sister died in a car accident & his parents, particularly his mother, wishes it were him instead. Tristan turns to drugs and doesn't care about anyone or anything. After a long time of not caring Tristan decides to get help. He then decides to join his cousin Quinton and Quinton's girlfriend Nova as they travel around and help Habitat for Humanity. This is where he meets Avery.

From the moment they meet Tristan is drawn to Avery. There's just something different and mysterious about her. They have a moment but Avery has a "no guy" rule she has set for herself vowing that she will never let another man in after what Conner did to her. When Avery was with Conner something tragic happens to her but she's given a second chance at life & she can't help but think just maybe she's supposed to be helping Tristan. The closer they get the more Avery becomes worried that she won't be able to keep her "no guy" rule. But the real question I think is, is Avery supposed to be helping Tristan or is Tristan supposed to be helping Avery?

Ok so I get that Avery has been through some serious tough times in her life but I kept thinking, "damn girl, you got a hot, somewhat broken, generous, caring guy standing in front of you. You better jump on that like 5 minutes ago." Now I'll be honest, when I was reading the Nova series and we were getting to know Tristan, I wasn't that interested in him. His character just didn't seem like he was someone I wanted to read about and that's why it took me so long to start Wreck Me. My God was I wrong. I think I'm in love with Tristan now.

So...will Avery keep her wall up forever or will she knock it down and allow Tristan into her world? Well I guess you will just have to read it to find out. Trust me, you want to read this story. Jessica Sorensen never ever disappoints me and I should've known that since she was writing this story it was going to be good. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read it.
Another great read by Ms Sorensen!
Avery has a past that keeps her on edge, wondering if she is doing the right thing. One memory from her father, he told her to trust the stars. She always was fascinated by the stars. She believed they would guide her in the right direction and I guess in a way it did. Her father left when she was young. He left her in the mess that was her mother's life and she always hated him for that. The stuff she had to put up with at such a young age was horrible. She also had a younger brother who she took care of because her mother was never in a fitful state to care for anyone let alone herself. She vowed that she would not live that kind of life and she would make sure her brother didn't either. Unfortunately things didn't happen that way. Her way out, she thought was a young man who she believed would make a better life for them, Conner. That ended up being a nightmare within itself. He beat her constantly which caused her to become addicted to alcohol to make the pain go away. Together they had a son, who she wanted a better life for. Conner became addicted to drugs, one of Avery nightmares come true. She was in the same predicament as her mother. Then one day things took a turn for the worse, Conner owed someone money and they wanted her. What happened that day haunted her dreams for years to come. Until she met Tristan. Tristan also came from a horrible past but he was determined to never go down that road again. He never did do the girlfriend thing. His one night stands were good enough for him, well until he met Avery. But he could tell she had her own walls put up just like him. Time would give them both the encouragement they needed. Tristan stood up for Avery every chance he got. He was only staying in the area for 3 months but we all know things can change. Tristan and Avery began letting there walls down for each other. They just may be what the other needed.
Wonderful story of trust, love, and making a better life while leaving the past in the past.
